a flower patch in the dead grass

there is a tiny neighborhood 

within the schoolyard

where purple flowers grow

along with tiny butterflies

that go to eat

and fly about

making new friends

to take upon the breeze

only to be blown away

beyond the schoolyard

out into the world.
